Blockchain Essentials Program
Cornell University’s eCornell has partnered with MultiversX to launch a blockchain education initiative called the Blockchain Essentials Program. This program will provide 100 underserved college students the opportunity to engage in a two-month learning experience and receive a certificate upon successful completion.
The initiative is sponsored by MultiversX, meaning that students will not have any fees for participation. According to the website of the initiative, the usual cost of the course is $3,750. However, this fee does not apply due to the sponsorship.
Blockchain essentials
The program’s most intriguing aspect lies in its promise for students upon completion: “students will have the opportunity to receive mentorship, support, and funding from MultiversX to develop blockchain projects that can benefit their communities.”
Applications are currently open until June 23, 2024. To be eligible, applicants must meet specific requirements:
- Must be a current college student
- Demonstrate English language proficiency
- Be economically disadvantaged
Only 100 spots are available in the program.
Beniamin Mincu, CEO of MultiversX, expressed his excitement about this initiative:
“Blockchain is an open book for anyone willing to read it. We’re still at the beginning of this story, so there’s plenty of room for innovation and bringing new ideas to fruition.”
